Open to students from all school boards.

 

All classes are conditional to sufficient enrolment and are subject to cancellation or transfer to an alternate location. Registrations will be accepted on a first-come, first-served basis until classes are full. Courses will not be confirmed. You will be contacted by Continuing Education only if the course is cancelled.

SUMMER SCHOOL LOCATIONS:

 

Immaculata High School 140 Main St., Ottawa

St. Patrick’s High School 2525 Alta Vista Dr., Ottawa

St. Pius X High School 1481 Fisher Ave., Ottawa

Holy Trinity High School – 180 Katimavik Rd., Kanata

 

 

REGISTRATION INFORMATION:

 

Pre-Registration:

 

Day school students can pre-register through their Student Services or Guidance Department from May 3 until June 18.

Adults can pre-register at the Continuing Education Department at 570 West Hunt Club Road, from May 3 until June 18, provided they have proof, transcript or report card, of the prerequisite course. Adults who do not have transcripts or attended a non-Ontario High School will have to call 613-228-3338 prior to registering.

 

Registration:

 

After June 18, registration will take place at all 4 summer school locations on the following dates & times:

 

Monday, June 28th from 9:00 am – 3:00 pm

Tuesday, June 29th from 9:00 am – 1:00 pm

 

Confirmation of Registration:

 

Courses will not be confirmed. Students will be contacted only if a course is cancelled due to insufficient enrolment.

 

Admission Criteria:

 

Students currently attending a high school must be recommended for attendance to summer school by the Principal (or designate) of their day school.

Adults (anyone not currently attending a day school) must bring proof of prerequisite courses in the form of a transcript or report card. Students who do not have an Ontario transcript must call

613-228-3338 prior to registering.

 

International and out-of-province students must contact the Continuing Education Department at 613-224-4455 ext. 2331 for information on fees for summer school.

REACH-AHEAD CREDIT COURSES

Grades 9-12, courses run from July 5 – July 26, 2010. This is a full-day program with courses running daily from 8:30 am – 4:00 pm with a half-hour lunch.

MAKE-UP CREDIT COURSES

Grades 9-12, courses run from July 5 – July 26, 2010. This is a half-day program with courses running daily from either 8:30 am – 12:00 pm OR 12:30 pm – 4:00 pm.

*Please note that Make-Up courses are only for students who have already taken the course and want to improve their mark.

NUMERACY/LITERACY COURSES

(10-day program)

Grades 7, 8 or 9, courses run from July 5 – July 16, 2010. This is a full-day program with courses running daily from 8:30 am – 4:00 pm with a half-hour lunch.
